BASH!Mail is a CGI desgined to access IMAP mailboxes for a Unix user over the Web. The entire program is written in BASH. It is not designed to be a full fledged mail program, but to supplement your existing IMAP client. It is often desirable to access your mail when you have Internet access but not access to an IMAP client. BASH!Mail is desgined to be a simple interface to your mail with basic features (send, receive and addressbook).

I found other web-based mail programs, but they tended to be large and cumbersome needing SQL and PHP or not beging able to interface with IMAP mailboxes. I wrote BASH!Mail so I could access my mail when not a home.
